On another, sad note, I want to spend a few words about my friend Maroussia, passed away at 48 yo three weeks ago :(
Maroussia was a gorgeous, indomitable woman, tall, beautiful, passionate. I met her via the HL fandom all those many years ago, met her in person in Paris (oh, that little kebab place she took me to, where the Greek owner always asked her to marry her, and she would laugh) and then again in Rome a couple of years later...she moved away then, left Europe, travelled in exotic places (so much so that a yahoo mail list was set up to follow her meanderings), ended up in New Caledonia.
I will miss you, my friend, and regret the emails not sent soon enough, the times we missed each other due to work or flights schedule.
Rest in peace, Maroussia.

Hi everyone :D

hope you are all well. Been up to Scotland to check on house works (don't have net there yet so no pc time, and was too busy to go to net cafè, sorry). Will try and catch up on email tomorrow, but in general, consider me on hiatus till the mid of July or so, The Move is incumbent and there are thousands of things to do and decisions to make.

Considering all the complaining I have been doing lately, about RL and being busy and not writing...

...I may have signed in for the XFiles BigBang Challenge...

Following the SPN Asylum 3 convention on Twitter is such a surreal experience!

It's just marvelous that fans are happy to communicate their experiences first hand in this way, there is an immediacy to it that it's refreshing and somewhat puzzling, but the excitement is palpable and coming through very clearly...yes, yes, I discovered hot water (once again) but if you put together the fans writing con reports, posting pictures, posting vids, and now twittering...it's just wonderful.

Yes, there are more important things in the world than a SPN con, but hey, little things and fun things are important too. I was of a halfmind of going this year, then gave up giving the RL-busy-ness of me (house buying! move! Big Decisions to Make!) and also noticing just how many fans Rogue was registering (I think they capped it at 1500 fans? or so?). And that's just way too many fans for things to be smooth, in those premises. I have been to a very big con (The Highlander celebration con back in Anaheim in...1998?) but the premises were HUGE, and there was plenty of space for everyone...not that organising a con is easy, by no means, but I prefer smaller cons (and truth be told, fans-cons more than actors-cons) where the atmosphere is more relaxed and there is less chance of chaos ensuing.

But! Back to the important stuff: I feel as if the neverending buzzing that is fandom life is more present than ever, knowing that whatever Misha Collins is doing right now (or the fact that poor Jensen can't get to his panel because he still signing autographs), I will get to know it because a handful of generous/sharing fans are twittering for the rest of us: YAY!
and a Big Thank You :D

And apparently Jensen has spent a little time with JDM before leaving for the con/Europe and JDM said to say hello to fans and that he'd love to make it to a con here...:D now, that's a con I would be at, no matter how many attendees, LOL

eeek. summer's here. I'm organizing The Move. It's...gosh, I haven't had this much anxiety since my high-school exams!
The Move will be final in the first week of July. I already want to sell the house in three years, time, lol.
I'm scattered and all over the place and anxious and gaaaaaaaaaah!

I'm lurking these days, when I am near the pc, so I'm trying to follow what's happening in our corner of the world (shows and cons and fandom and personal...) but I find it difficult to engage, oh and I miss writing and reading fanfiction like mad, but I have started feeling guilty if only I think about it :(

But! Isn't it incredibly intriguing how the Star Trek Reboot is making waves in fandom? I remember watching TOS religiously and now all this enthusiasm is delicious :D
And! I do like Misha Collins, I am just a little scared by how easily he's won fans over...which speaks of his awesomeness, yes, but fangirling has grown strange to me recently and I don't know why exactly...:( maybe I am not at all comfortable with that fourth barrier being broken. I don't knoooow! I want to watch Season 1 again.

Hope you are all well. I'll go have a salad. Oh, I'll make sure to put up a post with new addy once that's finalised, so you can track me down.
And, yes, I'm still in love like a puppy. It's so disgraceful and it will never end well, because I am not that lucky, but these days are glorious at times :)

Me, I am not a die-hard fan of the series, and I liked Mulder and Scully a lot better when there was no baby or romantic love involved with them - though I have been wanting to re-watch it all recently. I am Krycek fan *g* Still, I think an X Files Big Bang is a great idea :D
Who knows, maybe I will write me some Krycek.
Maybe not!
